On Tuesday evening, two children were kidnapped by unknown gunmen near the village of Libya in Darfur’s Jebel Marra, who also made off with dozens of livestock.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A relative of the abductees told Radio Dabanga that four gunmen riding camels attacked the Mukhtar Yousef nomad settlement on Tuesday and kidnapped two young shepherds, Munira Hamed (12) and Yousef Yahya (14), at gunpoint. They rounded-up 45 lambs and 38 cows and fled.<\/p>\n

He said that a group of herders pursued the gunmen, who opened fire on them and seriously wounded Adam Bakheet.<\/p>\n

He noted that the team did not manage to free the children and livestock from the perpetrators.<\/p>\n

In Murnei in West Darfur, gunmen stole 27 camels and cows from Murnei camp at gunpoint.<\/p>\n
