Five boys and a girl were wounded when gunmen riding motorcycles opened fire at a ceremony in Kalkal village in North Darfur on Thursday evening. In a separate shooting in Tawila, two women were seriously injured.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A family member told Radio Dabanga that the victims of the attack, southeast of Saraf Omra in North Darfur, are aged 13 to 15. Two of the victims were seriously injured and were transferred from Saraf Omra hospital to Zalingei hospital on Friday morning.<\/p>\n

The source confirmed that a rescue team managed to hunt down one of the alleged attackers riding a motorcycle and carrying a Kalashnikov. They handed him over to the police in Saraf Omra.<\/p>\n

The wounded were Abdelwahid Mohamed (13), Muddasir Ismail (13), Abdelwahid Mousa (14), Bahreldin Abbas (15), Jalaleldin Adam (14) and Mayada Adam (15).<\/p>\n

Armed herders<\/strong><\/p>\n

Two women sustained serious bullet wounds in North Darfur's Tawila locality on Thursday.<\/p>\n

An eyewitness told Radio Dabanga that armed herders riding camels were trespassing with their livestock on farms near Dubo El Omda. When the farmers confronted them, they opened fire, and wounded Asha Ibrahim and a woman called Dar El Naeem.<\/p>\n

A military force from the garrison of Katur intervened and exchanged fire with attackers, who then fled.<\/p>\n
