Three children were killed and a woman and forth child were injured in a bomb explosion in the area of Tangasi in Merowe in Sudan’s Northern State on Tuesday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A listener told Radio Dabanga that the children found a bomb that was probably left over from the El Dirwa military training camp of the Sudan Armed Forces near Domei, east of Tangasi.<\/p>\n

“They gathered around it and threw stones at it, which detonated the bomb, causing the death of Asiya (12) and Rahaf (10) Ibrahim, and Abdallah Hammad (13). Asia Shalal (50) and Bakheeta Ibrahim (6) were injured."<\/p>\n

The people called for comprehensive surveys of the area to making sure it is clear of unexploded ordnance (UXO), unexploded bombs (UXBs), or explosive remnants of war (ERW).<\/p>\n
