The Sudanese Professionals Association (SPA) in North Darfur organised a protest rally in front of the offices of the drinking water corporation in El Fasher. The protestors condemn the freezing of the appointment of a new general director of the corporation and three department directors.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Participants in the rally carried banners calling for the removal of power of the current director. They pointed out that the state government froze the new appointments under pressure from unnamed parties.<\/p>\n

The new director and department directors were appointed earlier after extensive consultations with the SPA and the Forces for Freedom and Change (FFC).<\/p>\n

The protestors threatened to escalate until the new directors will be appointed.<\/p>\n

Eastern Sudan<\/strong><\/p>\n

In eastern Sudan, workers, employees, and doctors at the Sea Ports Corporation Hospital carried out a protest on Tuesday, demanding the dismissal of the hospital's medical director and all others affiliated with of the ousted Al Bashir regime.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, engineers and staff of the Red Sea Consulting Centre carried out a strike, demanding the dismissal of the manager and the financial manager, sn increase of wages and improvement of the work environment.<\/p>\n
