The Sudanese Foreign Ministry has condemned the knife attack in the southeast of France on Saturday in which two people were killed and four others injured, allegedly by a Sudanese asylum seeker.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The reason for the attack in Romans-sur-Isère near Lyon is not yet clear. The alleged perpetrator of the attack was born in 1987. He arrived in France in June 2017 as an asylum seeker. One of the other men arrested is a Sudanese youth who lives in the same centre where the suspect lived. He was arrested on Saturday evening.<\/p>\n

The French authorities arrested a third Sudanese national on Saturday evening for a suspected connection to the attack.<\/p>\n

The judicial police in Lyon stated that the investigations are still underway and that they will inform the Sudanese embassy when new information becomes available.<\/p>\n

The Sudanese Foreign Ministry expressed its condolences to the family of the two deceased, and wished the injured a speedy recovery.<\/p>\n
