The native administrations of the two parties to the recent clashes that erupted<\/a> between Kamda Nuba and Misseriya in Lagawa in West Kordofan and led to several deaths and injuries, signed a document for final reconciliation (Surni<\/em>) on Thursday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The document was signed by Nazir El Sadig Izzeldin Hireika, the Nazir of Misseriya Zourg and Prince Saleh Ali Azrag of the Nuba tribe.<\/p>\n

The document stipulates the cessation of hostilities between Nuba and Misseriya and the full commitment to stop the violence and cooperate with the government.<\/p>\n

It also demanded the extension of the prestige of the state and called on the government to the importance of following up the implementation of the provisions of the document and called for a peace conference.<\/p>\n

The princes and nazirs of Misseriya, Nuba, and Daju tribes affirmed their full commitment to the document and the necessity of imposing the prestige of the state and enabling the native administration to play its role.<\/p>\n

They affirmed not to return to the conflict and demanded that those involved be brought to justice.<\/p>\n

Mohamed Tahir, a member of the Forces for Freedom and Change in Lagawa told Radio Dabanga that the two parties are affirmed to implement the contents of the document in order to maintain security and social peace in the area.<\/p>\n

Lt Gen Shamseldin Kabashi, member of the Sovereign Council, said that “the weapon that has been used in fighting in Lagawa is the state weapon that remained in the hands of members of the Popular Defence Forces (PDF),” pointing out that the PDF has been dissolved<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kabashi said during his address at the signing the “the Mujahideen of the PDF were given choice to choose either to join the armed forces or hand over their weapons to the state.”<\/p>\n

He directed the security and justice services to “arrest all those who participated and helped ignite the sedition in Lagawa locality and bring them to fair trial”.<\/p>\n

Kabashi pledged to support the security services and the native administration to fully play their role and called on the people of West Kordofan to provide information that helps the security services to arrest criminals and perpetrators of crimes.<\/p>\n

He also directed the security services to deal with criminals in accordance with the law.<\/p>\n
