Three farmers were attacked and injured by herdsmen in Central Darfur yesterday. Another farmer was abducted in North Darfur on Monday. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Adam Yousef told Radio Dabanga that the attack took place near Kombo Jali, eight kilometre west of Nierteti. Farmers Abakar and Shueib Haroun, and their nephew Ismail were wounded.<\/p>\n

On Monday, gunmen kidnapped farmer Abdelsalam Salah from his farm in Dubo El Omda in the eastern part of Jebel Marra. Farmer Hasan Adam told Radio Dabanga that the kidnapping was carried out by herders who came to the area on camels. He said the herders took Salah at gunpoint to an unknown destination. The incident was reported to the Tawila police.<\/p>\n

East Darfur<\/strong><\/p>\n

Members of the Resistance Committees active in the neighbourhoods of Ed Daein, capital of East Darfur, announced their withdrawal from all joint committees in the state on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

They protest what they call “the governor’s retreat from the decision to dismiss the managers in Ed Daein locality, who were affiliated with the ousted regime of Al Bashir”. They consider this a breach of the promise that led to the lifting of the Ed Daein sit-in<\/a>, which lasted for 23 days.<\/p>\n

The activists gave the governor 72 hours to dismiss the managers. They hold him responsible for the situation in the state when this demand will not be implemented.<\/p>\n
