When the husband tried to resist, they beat him with a sword. Then they raped his wife in front of him,\u201d the source said. During the attack, the gunmen allegedly stabbed the woman over five times which led to her death.The offenders soon fled to the city of Zalingei, the witnesses reported. The deceased was later transferred to Zalingei hospital and buried on Tuesday.Another attackIn a similar incident, another refugee was raped by more than three members of an armed group in a small farm in Bareerah valley, south of Zalingei.A source told Radio Dabanga that the gunmen let their cattle enter the farm. When the girl tried stopping the cattle, she was brutally assaulted and gang raped by them.The perpetrators then fled to an unknown destination. The victim has been admitted to the Zalingei hospital where she is in a critical state.Government-backed militias have been accused of committing these coordinated crimes in Zalingei camps.
