In his briefing to council members of the Sudanese Government of National Unity in Khartoum, Dosa stated that the Forum aimed at \u201cending all forms of war and bring\u00a0about development and stability in Darfur\u201d. Dosa describing the Forum as \u201ca valuable addition\u201d to the 2011 Doha Document for Peace in Darfur, and separate peace agreements with armed movements. He confirmed that the Forum had discussed three issues: \u201cEnding the war as soon as possible, bringing peace, and convincing the armed movements to sit down at the negotiating table to reach a just and lasting peace in Darfur\u201d. The chairperson requested all political forces to play a positive role in advocating for the outputs of the Forum. He noted that the Mechanism has organised more than twenty briefings for the Darfur communities in Khartoum State, besides holding similar meetings in the five states of Darfur.
