Retired lawyer El Tayeb Abdeljalil raised the memorandum against director-general of the police, Lt. Col. Hashim Osman Hussein, and director-general of prison administration, Lt. Col. Suleiman Abu Obeida Awad, this week. Abdeljalil\u2019s memo states that the directors violated the safety in prisons, for example by allowing the escape of several inmates. Inmates Ahmed Abdelrahman Mubarak, Siraj Eldin Hassan, and two inmates sentenced to life imprisonment in Zalingei\u2019s prison in Central Darfur, managed to escape, according to the retired lawyer. He said that some arms dealers also broke out. Additionally, the memo states that inmates including the Saudi Mohamed Haneish were provided with private rooms. The food committee in the prison committed financial violations and took advantage of poor prisoners, to work in agricultural projects. Abdeljalil also demands the termination of the services of Osman Hussein and Obeida Awad.","thumbnail_url":"https:\/\/www.dabangasudan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/cropped-dabanga-logo-zondernaam-512x512-1.png","thumbnail_width":512,"thumbnail_height":512}
