They beat and robbed the passengers, and abducted a young woman.\u00a0 Speaking to Radio Dabanga, one of the passengers reported that \u201cgovernment-backed Janjaweed\u00a0riding on motorcycles, camels and horses\" intercepted a lorry en route from Ereida, Yassin locality, to Waranga in the evening.The passengers, on their way home after shopping in Ereida, were beaten with batons and whips, and robbed of all their belongings. Seventeen passengers sustained varying injuries. The gunmen took one of the passengers, a young woman named Saadia Musa, to an unknown destination. The victim urged the authorities to \u201crescue the girl and bring the perpetrators to justice\u201d.
