The Sudan Revolutionary Front (SRF) denies the accusations. The governor stated that 17 military vehicles looted markets, cars, fuel, and water stations in the villages of Umm Katkut, Azban, Abu-Sifyan, Id-Babiker and Fattah. He added that no casualties have been reported. “Liar” On its turn, the SRF strongly denied Kibir’s accusations and called him a “liar”. Adam Saleh Abkar, military spokesman of the SRF coalition movement SLM-Minnawi, described the governor’s allegations as “incorrect”. He suggested Kibir is trying to undermine the government’s defeat by the SRF for the citizens of North Darfur. The spokesman also stated that the rebel movements did not abuse the citizens or loot their properties in the areas claimed by the governor. He stressed that the SRF is with the citizens, and not against them, as the regime argues. “27 SRF vehicles monitored” At the same time, Abdul Rahman Yunus, commissioner of Allei Jarelnaby locality in North Darfur, announced that security authorities monitored the movement of 27 military vehicles belonging to the SRF. The commissioner asserted the vehicles, carrying weapons, were seen in the western part of the locality. Yunus confirmed the accusations of governor Kibir against the SRF and accused the rebels “unloading fuel from 10 commercial vehicles coming from Khartoum to North Darfur”. In addition, he continued, the rebels forced traders and markets’ shopkeepers to illegally pay them 100 Sudanese pounds as a token of their support for the SRF. Radio Dabanga file photo
https://www.dabangasudan.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/cropped-dabanga-logo-zondernaam-512x512-1.png
