The independent MP for El Tina, Um Baru and Karnoi constituencies, Mohamed Minawi, informed Radio Dabanga that a group of Abbala militiamen riding in three Land Cruisers mounted with Dushka machine-guns raided the village on Saturday afternoon. \u201cThey beat and whipped the villagers before robbing them of their 1,485 camels, cows, and sheep,\u201d he said.
