On Tuesday three commercial vehicles were hijacked. \u201cAbu Torein was tending his farmland on Monday in the area of Khoran, one km northwest of Birkat Seira town. When Janjaweed on camelback attempted to steal his horse and donkey, he protested, whereupon they shot him dead on the spot,\u201d a relative of the victim told Radio Dabanga. \u201cThey then took his animals, and fled.\u201d In another incident, on Tuesday morning, \u201cJanjaweed on camels killed Daoud Araw\u00a0in the area of Tibra, 15 km west of Tawila town\u201d. \u201cAfter they had shot him dead, they took his 300 sheep, and fled,\u201d a herder told Radio Dabanga from Tibra. On Tuesday afternoon, militiamen intercepted two commercial vehicles near Korma in North Darfur. The vehicles were on their way from Kabkabiya to El Fasher, capital of North Darfur, one of the passengers reported to Radio Dabanga. \u201cThe gunmen told us to get off, and robbed us of all our belongings. Then they took the vehicles, and left to an unknown destination.\u201d The source added that another commercial vehicle was hijacked on the same day in the same area.
