A similar incident occurred on Sunday. One of the victims told Radio Dabanga that \u201cJanjaweed on horses intercepted us at Khor Khol when we were on our way back to Korji, after visiting the Nierteti market on Saturday evening. They beat us, and tied us to trees, after which they took all our money, mobile phones, and purchases.\u201d On Sunday evening, five displaced people from the area of Tado, east of Nierteti town, were ambushed by militiamen while returning from the market of Nierteti. \u201cThe attackers took all our money, mobile phones, and stripped us of our clothes,\u201d one of the victims reported to Radio Dabanga. He urged the UN and Unamid to \u201cimmediately provide protection to the displaced who are continuously exposed to murder, robbery, and rape by these government-backed gunmen\u201d.
