The head of the Oure Cassoni refugee camp, Adam Suleiman, told Radio Dabanga that the Darfuri refugees in the eastern Chad camps refuse the Darfur-Darfur Dialogue at a time when the Sudanese government and its militias have intensified their attacks on civilians in Darfur. “No Darfuri refugee in Chad has received an invitation. It seems the Dialogue will be an exclusive National Congress Party affair.” The camp head explained that the refugees, being the primary stakeholders, are not against a dialogue. “Yet the dialogue should be arranged outside Sudan, in the presence of representatives of the international community, and involve the armed movements and political opposition forces.” “The dialogue is to be preceded by disarmament of the Janjaweed militias, security on the ground, reconstruction of the infrastructure, and justice done to all affected people in Darfur.
