The director a secondary school in Djabal camp, Ismail Mohamed Abdel Megid, told Radio Dabanga one student from each of the 12 refugee camps in East Chad received the scholarship. Megid explained that the 12 students will follow courses such as physic, mathematics, law, Arabic language and history at the Chadian University of Adam Baraka. He said to have heard about the scholarship from an organization working in the field of education at the Djabal camp called Reid. Megid explained that the main condition for students to receive the grant is that they have obtained a Sudanese high-school certificate, or equivalent. In addition, they must be registered as refugees by the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), he said.
