The car was traveling from Kass to Nyala, and slowed down to cross a ditch which had been previously used as a trench for fighting. The armed militia hidden from view shot at the car seriously injuring a policeman who was amongst the passengers stated the source. The militia looted 6,000 Sudanese pounds from the passengers and stole their mobile phones.
