SPLA-N kills Sudanese commander in “continuously bombed” Blue Nile

The Sudan People’s Liberation Army-North (SPLA-N) in Blue Nile state claims to have destroyed patrolling forces of the Sudanese army in Bowrgo area, 30km south of Damazin on Thursday morning. “We ambushed the patrolling Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) at 10am in Bowrgo area and killed force commander Maaz Ahmed Bagir Najib of the 4th Division in Damazin”, SPLA-N spokesperson Arnu Ngutulu Lodi told Radio Dabanga. He said they had destroyed one vehicle and captured eight AK-47 rifles, nine boxes of ammunition, and a land mine detector. The rebels have lost one soldier and another was wounded. Blue Nile refugees “left by UN” Meanwhile Yasir Arman, Secretary General of the SPLM-N, said on Friday that Sudanese refugees from the Nuba Mountains and Blue Nile, staying in camps in South Sudan near the border of Sudan, are facing “a difficult situation.
